Teaching Metaphor

Teaching is like being a tour guide. An excellent tour guide creates engaging visuals or pamphlets to get people excited to go on an adventure with them. A tour guide should also think about how to create an event that uses diverse experiences to share different aspects of a city or location.  They must also plan, assess, and reflect on the experiences they offer. A tour guide should have an expansive knowledge of the elements within the tour. They must also be a good communicator and share interesting insights about the activities and locations within the tour.  In many ways, teaching mirrors the work of a tour guide as both include leading others on a journey of discovery. Teachers much like tour guides also hope that they are able to create such an enjoyable experience that it supports their groups becoming passionate about what they have learned.
